Welcome to Yorigami dear guest.

I’m Jorrit Linnert, pleased to meet you!

This website has been set up to download my origami models.

Two jumping origami frogs (trad.)
Jumping Frog (trad.)

This traditional frog model can jump by sliding the tip of your finger from the center to the back while applying light pressure.
I fold these often in the train to give them to small children that look like they are bored.

Origami Dragon, based on flying crane
Western Dragon,
based on flying crane

This was the first model I designed myself at an age of 14 or so. It is based on the traditional model of the flying crane that can flap its wings if you pull at the tail.
By first folding all corners to the middle, you end up with four extra flaps that will become its legs.

Origami Bow Tie
Bow Tie

This model was born out of necessity.

I had forgotten my fabric Bow Tie just half an hour before I had to enter the stage and take my seat as a trumpet player in our orchestra.

I was sat next to a stack of printer paper and pondered how I could come up with something that looked like a bow tie from a distance.

Origami Space Invader
Space Invader

I was trying to fold a particular Elephant model and made a mistake which led to an interesting shape.
Rather than unfolding my mistake, I went along with that shape and doodled along until the model began to resemble something recognisable.
From there I continued working towards the emerging form.
I liked it so much that I resolved to make a folding diagram, but had to rack my brain to figure out exactly what steps I’d taken on the way.
